Join this music summer short course for a unique opportunity to learn from Guildhall’s experienced staff in a supportive environment in our central London location.

This course will give you an insight into conservatoire training. As well as an introduction to singing in Italian and communicating text into song, the course will cover body awareness and performance skills.

Course content includes:

• One-to-one tuition with members of Guildhall’s distinguished Vocal faculty
• Breathing and body awareness
• Drama workshops
• English Repertoire
• Text into song work
• Work on two songs of your own choosing, one in English, the other in Italian

Eligibility

Ages 16-21. Auditions are not required but you will be asked to submit information detailing any prior training and performing experience. Please name three classical pieces in your current repertoire and attach one of them as an MP3.
Applicants must have sufficient English language skills to cope with course demands.
