Join this music summer short course for a unique opportunity to learn from Guildhall’s experienced staff in a supportive environment in our central London location.

Working with the some of the most experienced players and teachers in the UK this two day course will help you develop your playing and technical ability, as well as consolidate your understanding and interpretation of the repertoire.

The course includes:

  • Workshops on technique, covering approaches to posture, articulation, resonance and tone building.
  • Masterclasses on solo repertoire, focusing on performance and communication skills, with one-to-one coaching from the tutors.
  • Etudes and scales
  • Handling nerves and performance stress
  • Work on reed making in Guildhall’s dedicated Reed Room

Daily schedule: 10am – 6pm
Course Fee: £275

Eligibility

Advanced Oboe is for musicians aged 14 – 18 with ABRSM Grade 6 (or equivalent) standard.
Applicants must have sufficient English language skills to cope with course demands.
